Are all you #Cravers excited for our first official food review?! A bit late but life gets busy, you know? To be upfront and honest, I am a bit biased about this review. I will be writing the majority of it (Ashley just started a new job that is keeping her extra busy) but she will make a quick appearance to give her opinion on our dinner in April.
Our April dinner coincided with our photo shoot, so we didn’t do anything too crazy. I brought sandwiches from my work and Ashley picked up some boba tea on her way to meet me. We ate them in Ashley’s car once we were done taking photos and after we went to Starbucks to finish up the website.
As I said, I was going to have an unfairly biased opinion since our meal came from my work and I love my job! I work as the Catering Coordinator for a small, family owned, local grocery store located in the Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. It's called Canyon Market. I have been there for about 3 months now and couldn’t be happier with my job! The boba tea we had came from ShareTea, located in the Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, CA. This was a quick and easy dinner for us to eat in the car while we worked on getting this blog up and running.
For food from Canyon Market I had the Parisienne sandwich, this is my all time favorite sandwich, like ever, in the entire history of sandwiches. It was basically all I ate when I was in Paris August 2018. So you cannot even imagine my excitement when I learned my new job made them and let me tell you, they are incredible. There is something so amazing about the simple sandwich, French Baguette, Prosciutto Cotto (fancy ham), Gruyere cheese and butter! How can it get any better, I mean, you can hear my excitement as you read this! Since I thought we might want chips on the side, I grabbed a bag of chips from the store as well, they were Boulder Canyon, Coconut Oil Classic Sea Salt, we were not impressed, they were thick and too crunchy (yes that can be a thing), and just way too greasy, overall we were not pleased with the chip selection. From ShareTea I had the Classic Pearl Milk Tea, fairly standard for boba place, it was delicious and sweet and the black tea was brewed perfectly. It was anything special compared to other chain boba tea places, but it did not disappoint.
Here is where Ashley gives her opinion on her food!
Hi #Cravers! Ashley here ;] for my epic sandwich I got the classic, BLT. Delicious thick cut juicy bacon over a bed of refreshing crisp lettuce and wonderful sliced tomatoes! And of course, my favorite sandwich condiment (which Kita absolutely hates with a passion lol) MAYO! All this goodness between two slices of soft, fresh wheat bread. Overall, highly recommend!
To wash it all down, I got the Classic Pearl Jasmine Milk tea! I take mine Light on the boba and just a little more sweet. Also, I don’t know why, but lately I’ve had an obsession with Jasmine Tea. There’s something about that hint of sweet and beautiful soft floral aroma that keeps me wanting more.
Kita here again! Overall we were pleased with our April dinner! I mean really, can I say anything bad about my place of employment? But really, you should go check out Canyon Market in Glen Park, San Francisco, CA (www.canyonmarket.com). They have the best selection in the store, at the deli counter and of course me, with catering!
We’ve got our May dinner around the corner and a place picked out, but would love to get some insight on what to do for June. So let us know, What are you craving? And we will add it to our list of places to check out!
